Finances 2020 

The Finance Committee approved  a deficit budget for 2020 on the basis that we would try to bring expenditure into line with income for the following year. This was before the disruption to normal activities caused by the Covid pandemic. The budget revised as at June 2020 can be viewed here.

The Committee has been meeting on a regular basis to review the parish finances in the light of changes in income streams and the impact of furlough arrangements on staff salaries. We have encouraged parishioners to set up monthly standing orders, arranged a 'donate' button on the website and introduced two contactless terminals in the church to mitigate the losses from the weekly collection plates. Whilst this level of giving has held reasonably well, other income streams, in particular halls bookings have been lost. The accounts as at September can be viewed here.
