Sacrament of the sick
If someone you know is seriously ill then their name can be added to the list in the weekly newsletter for the parish to pray for them. However, you must obtain their consent for their name to be published.
People who are seriously ill find great consolation from the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick; and if housebound, can request a priest to call.
Mass with the Anointing of the Sick for those who are infirm or frail is celebrated on the first Friday of the month and advertised in the Newsletter.
If someone you know is close to death, then the Presbytery should be called day or night for a priest to administer the last rites.
IN EMERGENCY: telephone the Presbytery day or night on 020 8946 0305
Admission to Hospital
If you or someone you know is admitted to hospital it is very important that the hospital is informed if you wish to be visited by the hospital chaplaincy and to receive Holy Communion. Chaplains are not permitted to visit patients without prior permission.
