Two Vatican Documents regarding
Reconciliation and Special Indulgences

The Vatican Apostolic Penitentiary has issued two documents on Special Indulgences and the Sacrament of Reconciliation relating to this time of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Click on the titles below to see these documents.

Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary on the granting of special Indulgences to the faithful in the current pandemic.
The gift of special Indulgences is granted to the faithful suffering from COVID-19 disease, commonly known as Coronavirus, as well as to health care workers, family members and all those who in any capacity, including through prayer, care for them.

Note from the Apostolic Penitentiary on the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the current pandemic.
The gravity of the present circumstances calls for reflection on the urgency and centrality of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, together with some necessary clarifications, both for the lay faithful and for ministers called to celebrate the Sacrament.
Even in the time of COVID-19, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is administered in accordance with universal canon law and with the provisions of the Ordo Paenitentiae.

If you are new to the parish, we would encourage you to register by clicking here. When your application has been accepted you will receive a welcome pack from Canon John Clark our parish priest.

At the heart of our parish are the many people of all ages who work, study, pray and share their lives together. We invite and encourage you to explore, discover and visit the Sacred Heart.

The Bereavement Team  regret that this extraordinary step has been necessary and offer our apologies to anyone who intended to attend.
Bereaved people are invited to call Sadie Smith on 020 8946 5198 or to email sadiesmith3@talktalk.net for a confidential conversation with a member of the Bereavement Support Group.
