Travelling Nativity 2019

The Travelling Nativity will begin on the first Sunday of Advent, which is Sunday 1st December and will end when the figures are brought to Church on Christmas Eve. It starts with one household taking the figures home from the parish and then the following day they will drop the figures off at the next household and so forth throughout Advent.  Each family will welcome the Holy Family into their home and as part of the pack there will be a small liturgy that you encouraged to use as a family as well as a prayer book to write any prayers you may have.  We also encourage you to have the Holy Family on display in your house.

You will be provided of the contact details of those bringing the nativity to your home and also of those you will be taking it to, similarly your details will also be shared with those bringing the nativity to you.  As some of the households involved will have young children, it would be great if the passing on of the nativity were to happen during the early evening e.g. before 8pm. When the nativity is brought to your house you may wish to invite those who have brought it into your home to share the liturgy together.
