Welcome to Sacred Heart Wimbledon

Sacred Heart Church, in Wimbledon, a Roman Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Southwark, and until recently served by the Jesuits of the British Province, welcomes you to our website. As one of the largest parishes in England, we hope this site highlights the dynamic community that has been a place of worship for over a century. At the heart of our parish are the many people of all ages who work, study, pray and share their lives together. We invite and encourage you to explore, discover and visit the Sacred Heart.

Applications are invited for the full-time post of Parish Catechetical Co-ordinator for the Sacred Heart Church, Wimbledon.

One of the largest Roman Catholic parishes in England, we are looking for a practising Catholic to assist the Parish Priest in leading, developing and coordinating the various parish catechetical programmes for children and young people.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator and relationship-builder with the leadership and organisational skills to recruit, motivate and support teams of volunteers and collaboratively develop innovative and imaginative parish programmes.

Further information and an application form are available from the Parish Executive Assistant, Thelma D’Costa at wimparish@sacredheartwimbledon.org.uk
Closing date for completed applications is midday Monday, 10 July 2017.
