Youth Minister

My background in Youth Ministry comes from having worked in a Catholic residential retreat centre in my home diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.  I then went on to study Theology and Religious Studies at St Mary’s University in Twickenham where I worked closely with the chaplaincy team and the Catholic Society to engage with other students of all faiths and none.  While at St Mary’s, I volunteered within a local parish, helping to run their Confirmation programme and was whilst doing this that I found a love for parish ministry!  After graduating, I went on to work within a parish in North London where, with the Catholic charity I was working for, we worked on equipping parishes to reach out and work with more vulnerable young adults in their own setting.

In my role here at Sacred Heart, I have the privilege to be able to work with young people in the parish across all age groups, right up to young adulthood, and am heavily involved in the Sacramental formation of young people for Confirmation.  I also have the pleasure of working regularly with our local schools and help to run their retreat programmes.
